Position Summary
The Family Physician will deliver primary healthcare services to patients at Sea Mar Community Health Centers, adhering to established guidelines and standards. This role involves collaboration with healthcare teams to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care. The physician will also manage medication prescriptions in accordance with the authority granted by the Washington State Board. Participation in preventive health initiatives, including immunization and disease prevention programs, is essential, along with educational outreach to patients and community groups.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to provide high-quality services to patients.
- Deliver primary medical care in alignment with professional training and licensing requirements.
- Provide necessary hospital and institutional care for obstetric coverage.
- Refer patients to specialists as needed for additional care.
- Prescribe and dispense medications in compliance with state regulations.
- Engage in preventive health program organization and execution, including community education initiatives.
- Contribute to clinical operations, working alongside administrative staff and leadership to enhance patient care experiences.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of clinical documentation and related paperwork.
Qualifications
- Valid MD or DO license.
- Completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency program; board certification or in the process of obtaining certification in the relevant specialty.
- Current DEA registration.
- Compliance with all vaccination requirements for employment.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
- Experience in community health settings is advantageous.
