Job Title: Direct Support Professional

Job Summary:

As a Direct Support Professional at Mt Olivet Rolling Acres, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as mental health needs. Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients with daily living activities, personal care, and program implementation. You will ensure the daily well-being and safety of clients while providing adequate supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with daily cares, medical needs, and supports, including ADLs and mental health supports.
  • Develop and implement daily routines that promote choice and independence for clients.
  • Plan and implement recreation, leisure, and community activities that cater to clients' interests and needs.
  • Transport clients to appointments and community activities using a company vehicle.
  • Establish and maintain community relationships and friendships for clients.
  • Collaborate with the support team to develop and implement goals and plans for clients.
  • Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and MORA policies.
  • Prepare meals and complete household maintenance tasks.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience working with clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Interest in supporting clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and/or mental health needs.
  • Must pass a Department of Human Services background check and maintain qualified status.
  • Must have a valid current driver's license and vehicle insurance.
  • Successful completion of Medication Administration class and regular passing of medications without error.

Mt Olivet Rolling Acres is a nonprofit organization that has supported adults, seniors, and children with developmental disabilities, behavioral health needs, age-related, and chronic medical conditions for over 50 years in the Twin Cities metro.
