AKS Engineering & Forestry is seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Surveyor to join our team. This role is pivotal in supporting our diverse range of projects, collaborating closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and survey teams. Key Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Oregon Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license.
- A degree in civil engineering, surveying, or forest engineering is preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of land surveying techniques, boundary control principles, and construction surveying.
- Familiarity with Oregon's land surveying laws and regulations.
- Proficient in various surveying technical skills, including ALTA/ACSM surveys, platting, and construction staking.
- Experience with GPS and scanning technologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proposal and report writing.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet project deadlines.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Act as the Project Surveyor for various developments, including residential subdivisions and public works projects.
- Conduct field survey work as needed and oversee survey crews.
- Utilize survey equipment to accurately measure distances, angles, and elevations.
- Ensure all work adheres to accepted land surveying standards.
- Maintain precise and organized field notes documenting survey activities.
- Prepare and review legal descriptions of real property.
- Engage in AutoCAD/Civil3D drafting for project documentation.
