Key Responsibilities:

The estimating department is tasked with generating project-specific construction estimates based on client instructions. Your contributions will include:

  • Developing accurate and timely electrical construction estimates for competitive bids.
  • Interpreting detailed drawings and specifications.
  • Evaluating and pricing value-engineered alternatives.
  • Conducting budget pricing from schematic drawings.
  • Drafting scope letters, proposals, and vendor requests.
  • Participating in job walks, pre-bid meetings, and collaborative discussions with clients and design professionals.
  • Maintaining composure and efficiency under deadline pressures.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with estimators, project managers, and engineers on change orders and cost estimates for ongoing projects.
  • Assisting in the development of company standards for estimating electrical design/build and specifications work.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED is required; additional education or experience in estimating, construction management, finance, or business administration is preferred.
  • Familiarity with code requirements and basic electrical engineering calculations is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in software such as Microsoft Project, Excel, Office, Word, Adobe Acrobat, and Outlook.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A collaborative team player who is self-motivated and works well with others.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage project information.
  • Ability to perform calculations accurately.
  • Sound judgment, attention to detail, and effective prioritization skills.
  • Consideration for candidates with commercial electrical experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: Based on experience

Schedule: Monday to Friday
