Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safe and secure operation of the housing units.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the housing units to ensure compliance with agency policies and procedures.
  • Provide training and guidance to correctional staff on evidence-based practices and reentry programs.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent certificate.
  • Extensive working knowledge of prison operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Experience effectively communicating with all levels of institutional staff, inmates, and inmate family members.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver reports and presentations to diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advance knowledge in criminal justice, public administration, or a human services field.
  • Experience supervising correctional staff.
  • Working knowledge of security and treatment within an adult correctional setting.
  • Working knowledge of evidence-based research and practices for prison operations.
  • Working knowledge of reentry programs and services available to inmates.
