Job Description

As a Cloud Services Engineer at Intel, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and validating software to enable Intel hardware features and optimize for cloud, hybrid cloud, and on-prem deployment models.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand partner software stacks and optimize full-stack software to enable cloud software. This may include developing reference cloud platform software and improving or enabling customer designs to obtain the greatest value from Intel products within the cloud.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop software to enable Intel hardware features and optimize for cloud, hybrid cloud, and on-prem deployment models.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand partner software stacks and optimize full-stack software to enable cloud software.
  • Develop reference cloud platform software and improve or enable customer designs to obtain the greatest value from Intel products within the cloud.
  • Specialize in specific technology domains including data services, AI/ML, and open-source development projects.
Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, and 4+ years of experience, or a Master's degree in the same field with 3+ years of experience, or a PhD in the same field with 1+ year of experience.

Additionally, you must have 4+ years' experience in cloud services engineering, 1+ year's experience with Golang, 1+ year's experience in API development and microservices architecture, and 1+ year's experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include 4+ years' experience with a focus on Baremetal as a Service, 1+ year's experience with CICD (Jenkins, ArgoCD), experience with PXE and Ironic for bare metal provisioning, working knowledge of networking protocols and principles, familiarity with BIOS, Firmware, Redfish, and IPMI, strong commitment to security best practices and compliance, excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, and strong communication and teamwork skills.
