Cloud Architect

As a Principal Cloud Architect at Oracle, you will be responsible for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. You will act as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Cloud Engineers, focusing on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions.

• Develop and deliver outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations.
• Lead any and all aspects of the technical sales process.
• Advise internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to define the product road map and market positioning for MySQL HeatWave offerings.
• Identify, drive, develop & support community user groups and developer program initiatives for MySQL HeatWave.

• Fluent English.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as leadership skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations is key.
• This person will be technical and analytical, and possess significant business development, enterprise sales, or program/product management experience.
• Computer Science or Engineering preferred.

• Database experience, programming skills, Linux skills highly preferred.
• Cloud Skills and experience highly preferred.
• AWS and/or GCP Certifications.
• MySQL and/or OCI Certifications.
• LAMP Stack hands-on experience.
• Database Systems Certifications.
• Experience working with MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL and AWS databases.
• Experience working and traveling independently.
• Machine learning and GenAI knowledge are a plus.
• Experience with public speaking at conferences and meetups.
