Job Title: Permit Coordinator

Centric Infrastructure Group is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Permit Coordinator to join our team. As a Permit Coordinator, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting permit applications to various agencies, including TXDOT, counties, and municipalities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Obtain applications and documents from municipalities, TxDOT, and other utility companies to facilitate the permit application process.
  • Communicate effectively with company managers, engineers, designers, and other departments about changes to processes or obstacles to workflows.
  • Prepare and submit applications and fees to various agencies having jurisdiction over required permits and/or approvals.
  • Track pending permits through the review process and communicate the status to managers and project managers.
  • Review plans and conduct project quantity take-off initiatives.
  • Assist with project deliverables and expense reports in accordance with scheduled due dates.
  • Follow up with existing cases/projects to move jobs through the permitting process as quickly and efficiently as possible.
  • Coordinate documents and applications with outside consultants as necessary.
  • Responsible for workflow and associated tasks, follow-ups with counties, municipalities, TXDOT, and other utility companies.
  • Responsible for securing timely preparation and submission of documents, plans, inspections, and permit applications based on construction deadlines.
  • Build and maintain professional and courteous relationships with staff of all county, municipalities, TXDOT, and other utility companies.
  • Document and process all plan revisions and coordinate time-frame requirements.
  • Support the Engineering & Design department with associated administrative duties.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma
  • 2-5 years of related experience
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detailed and in-depth understanding of various permit industry knowledge
  • Proficiency and ability to utilize computer software programs, including spreadsheet, word processing, database, notepad, and PDF applications
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work with personnel at all levels, both within and outside the company
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Highly organized and attentive to detail with excellent follow-through skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Experience using Monday.com
  • Knowledge of reading construction plan sets
Work Environment:
  • Job requires employee to sit for extended periods of time, lift objects up to 30 lbs, grasp, carry, walk, speak, and listen
  • Work is performed mostly in a controlled office environment. The noise level is usually moderate.
