Job Summary

CCARC INC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Care Specialist to join our team. As a Direct Care Specialist, you will provide direct care in a residential setting to participants with special needs, enabling their highest quality of life in terms of their physical, emotional, and mental health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide and receive effective, respectful, and courteous verbal and written communications to and from specific teams related to the care of participants.
  • Assist with personal care, hygiene, and treatments, including administration of medications, recording vital signs as needed, and placing supply and medication orders.
  • Provide education to participants in personal hygiene, grooming, and behavioral conduct, acting as a role model to enhance participants' self-esteem.
  • Coordinate and lead social and recreational activities, as well as shopping for food and clothing, including the safe transportation of participants.
  • Coordinate general housekeeping, collect and change laundry, and monitor residents at mealtime according to food consistency guidelines for each individual.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Valid Driver's License, be insurable with Agency carrier
  • Must complete the Agency's Employee Training
