Summit Spine and Joint Centers is a leading provider of comprehensive spine and joint care services in Georgia. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Charge Nurse to join our team.
Responsibilities:- Certification and Compliance: Support certification efforts from a nursing perspective for regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Patient Care Direction: Provide direction and oversight of patient care in the ambulatory care setting, ensuring high-quality services.
- Staff Management: Manage and supervise staff members in the surgery centers, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
- Patient Engagement: Establish personal rapport with patients, providing exceptional care and support.
- Nursing Staff Development: Maintain and develop nursing staff by orienting, training, and scheduling nurses, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
- Task Management: Ensure that all daily tasks are completed by nurses or staff, promoting efficiency and productivity.
- Compassionate Environment: Provide a compassionate and supportive environment for patients and staff, promoting a positive and respectful work culture.
- Patient Care Goals: Establish patient care goals, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Education and Counseling: Teach and counsel patients and staff on disease management, medications, and self-care skills, promoting health and wellness.
- Communication: Answer questions and resolve patient needs by utilizing a multidisciplinary team strategy, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Safety and Infection Control: Maintain a safe and clean working environment, supporting infection-control policies and protocols.
- Medication Administration: Enforce medication administration and controlled substance regulations, ensuring patient safety and compliance.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure operation of medical and administrative equipment, verifying emergency equipment, preventive maintenance requirements, and manufacturer's instructions.
- Compliance and Quality: Ensure compliance with policies and procedures regarding operations, fire, safety, and infection control, promoting a culture of quality and excellence.
- Communication and Collaboration: Effectively and consistently communicate administrative directives to personnel, encouraging interactive departmental meetings and discussions.
- Nursing Supplies: Maintain nursing supplies, including inventory management, to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
- Relationship Building: Foster a cooperative relationship by communicating information, requests, and problem-solving, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
- Nursing License: Good standing RN License for the State of Georgia without limitations.
- Nursing Compact License: Nursing Compact License preferred, required to be obtained within the first 90 days of employment.
- Nursing Experience: 4+ years of nursing experience required.
- Nursing Management Experience: 1+ years of nursing management experience preferred.
- Regulatory Certification: Experience with regulatory certification processes preferred.
- Charge Nurse Experience: Charge Nurse experienced applicants will take top priority.
- Travel Requirements: Ability to travel to ASC locations throughout listed Regions.
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS Certified.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
