Role Overview
As a Call Center Associate, you will be responsible for managing inquiries during Eastern Time Zone hours, handling up to 75 calls daily from Florida Medicaid clients seeking information about their health benefits. This role is situated in a high-demand call center environment, which may present challenges. Additionally, you will contribute to our Medicaid Outreach Campaign by making proactive calls to our members. Your role as their advocate will involve assisting with primary care provider changes, finding specialists, clarifying benefit coverage, managing authorizations, addressing provider claims, and supporting transportation and pharmacy needs.
Utilize Your Skills to Make a Difference
Essential Qualifications
- Must reside in the Eastern or Central Time Zone within designated states.
- At least one (1) year of customer service experience is essential.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Teams.
- Strong technical abilities to navigate multiple software systems, including email and chat, with efficient typing skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must meet monthly performance, attendance, and call metrics.
Training Details
- This position includes a comprehensive virtual training program. Training will occur remotely and is structured for the first 8 weeks, with a schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Eastern, Monday through Friday.
- Attendance and punctuality are critical; you must be prepared and present for all training sessions.
- During the initial employment period, attendance is crucial for your success; no time off will be permitted during training or the first sixty (60) days.
- New hires will undergo a 120-day appraisal period, which is vital for skill development.
- Willingness to remain in this role for a minimum of twelve (12) months before exploring other opportunities within CenterWell is required.
Post-Training Work Hours
- After training, flexibility to work an 8-hour shift between 7:45 AM and 8:00 PM Eastern time, Monday through Friday, is necessary. Early shifts are not guaranteed.
- Overtime may be required based on business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- Previous experience in inbound and/or outbound call centers or related customer service roles.
- Experience in the healthcare sector is advantageous.
Home Office Requirements
To ensure effective remote work, your self-provided internet service must meet the following criteria:
- A minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; a wired cable or DSL connection is preferred.
- Associates must work from a dedicated space free from interruptions to protect member information.
