Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Sleep Technologist to join our team at Medbridge Healthcare. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will be responsible for conducting polysomnographic studies and gathering patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather and analyze patient information to determine final testing parameters and procedures in conjunction with the ordering physician or clinical director and laboratory protocols.
  • Complete and verify documentation, including patient records and study reports.
  • Explain pre-testing, testing, and post-testing procedures to patients and their families.
  • Prepare and calibrate equipment required for testing, including polysomnographic equipment and positive airway pressure (PAP) masks.
  • Perform physiologic calibrations to ensure proper signals and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Follow procedural protocols for polysomnographic studies, including Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT), Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT), parasomnia studies, PAP, and oxygen titration.
  • Document observations every 20 minutes on recording and in technical comments, including sleep stage, clinical events, position changes, pressure changes, SaO2 values, heart rate, and respiratory rate.

Requirements:

  • Registered Sleep Technologist (RPSGT) certification.
  • Experience in conducting polysomnographic studies and gathering patient information.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
