We are seeking a skilled Polysomnographic Technologist to join our team at Ascension Via Christi. As a Polysomnographic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic sleep studies, preparing patients and equipment for testing, and interpreting results. If you have a passion for healthcare and a strong background in sleep technology, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities- Perform basic and advanced diagnostic sleep studies, including preparing patients and equipment for testing.
- Interview patients to determine sleep disorder issues and explain testing procedures.
- Monitor patients throughout testing and intervene as necessary to resolve patient needs or equipment issues.
- Collect, analyze, and integrate patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs; score, interpret, and report results of sleep studies.
- Prepare, calibrate, repair, and maintain equipment required for testing, determining and reporting needed repairs or replacements.
- BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required.
- One or more of the following certifications required: Certified Polysomnographic Tech, Respiratory Care Practitioner, Respiratory Therapist, Registered Polysomnographic Technologist, Sleep Technician.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
