About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as the Director of Graduate Retention. This role will be responsible for advancing the graduate retention initiative for the Indiana Destination Development Corporation (IDDC).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive graduate retention strategy to keep graduates in Indiana.
  • Engage with higher education institutions to provide college students with positive community and destination experiences in Indiana.
  • Identify key strategies to provide opportunities that will motivate graduates to live, work, and stay in Indiana.
  • Work closely with the Director of Talent Attraction to coordinate meetings with businesses and corporate recruiters to encourage the use of talent attraction tools.
  • Manage and enhance existing tools and develop new programs and tools aligned with IDDC research.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team and outside marketing agency to determine collateral and messaging to support graduate retention.
  • Manage and execute annual surveys to gauge the perception of Indiana as a place to live and work.
  • Monitor and report on graduate retention metrics and solicit input from a Graduate Retention Advisory Council.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • At least 5 years of work experience.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, able to build relationships and establish credibility.
  • Experience in creating and managing new initiatives.
  • Ability to build out a new project or program.
  • Self-motivated; able to think creatively.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, meticulousness, and ability to manage and meet deadlines for multiple projects running simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software programs.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Represent the State of Indiana and the IDDC in a professional and confidential manner.
