Clean Harbors is seeking a skilled Packaging Technician to join our team. As a key member of our environmental services team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive services, including collection and disposal of damaged, discarded, or recalled products, as well as recycling of light bulbs, oil, oil filters, engine fluids, and other materials.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and dispose of damaged, discarded, or recalled products in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
- Recycle light bulbs, oil, oil filters, engine fluids, and other materials in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Operate a box truck to visit retail customer sites and transport materials and waste products.
- Segregate, pack, and load materials and waste products for safe transportation.
- Prepare DOT shipping documents and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Conduct projects and jobs according to site-specific federal, state, and local regulations and health and safety plans.
- Understand customer-specific disposal restrictions and special packaging requirements.
- Ensure drum count is correct and that drum conditions are shippable in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Previous commercial driving experience.
- Ability to obtain a CDL Class B with hazmat and tanker endorsement within 6 months of hire.
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
