We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Scientist III to join our team at Methodist Hospital Metropolitan. As a key member of our Laboratory Department, you will play a critical role in providing accurate and timely test results to support patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform complex medical laboratory tests for diagnosis and treatment of disease, analyzing and assuming accountability for accurate test results.
- Anticipate and evaluate the need for new methods, instrumentation, and technology to improve customer satisfaction and revenue generation.
- Ensure compliance with accrediting agencies and regulatory standards, serving as a resource to customers within and outside the department.
- Manage assigned projects, developing plans, coordinating resources, and completing projects within established time limits.
- Understand, perform, and practice quality control management, including running controls, evaluating data, and taking corrective action as required.
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, troubleshoot issues, and demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills.
- Minimum Education: Associate's degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 5 years of experience in a Clinical Laboratory setting, with Blood Bank experience a plus.
- MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), MT(AMT), MT(AAB), CLS(NCA), MT(HEW), MLT(ASCP), or MLT(HEW) certification required, with waiver for those with 10+ years of lab experience.
