People, Incorporated is on the lookout for a seasoned Chief Financial Officer. The CFO plays a pivotal role in overseeing the formulation, monitoring, management, and dissemination of financial data and budgetary information, aligning with the Agency's mission while fostering ongoing quality enhancement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Establish and oversee systems for the preparation, management, and reporting of financial and budgetary information.
  2. Facilitate and coordinate the annual budgeting process in collaboration with division leaders.
  3. Supervise the general ledger, accounts receivable and payable, procurement, payroll, and business support services.
  4. Oversee payroll and related expenditures as part of the overall organizational budget.
  5. Assist in the rate-setting processes for all existing and proposed service contracts.
  6. Prepare and submit all necessary reports and statistical data as mandated.
  7. Monitor and support the acquisition of significant equipment and capital assets.
  8. Engage with the Administrative Management Team to identify and promote growth opportunities in line with the strategic plan.
  9. Recommend changes and new hires for the accounting staff.
  10. Supervise and assess the performance of direct report staff, and suggest training and development opportunities.
  11. Act as the liaison with external auditors and vendors.
  12. Enhance accounting department functions and processes, including recommendations for improvements.
  13. Provide support to the Financial Committee of the Board of Directors.
  14. Serve as the Agency's Corporate Compliance Officer, maintaining a Risk Management Program that adheres to federal, state, and other regulations, and is responsible for the creation, implementation, and evaluation of such programs.
  15. Ensure compliance with all program and Agency-required training.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Master's degree in Accounting or a related discipline, or CPA; a minimum of 8 years of experience, with at least 4 years in a supervisory capacity.
  2. In-depth knowledge of financial, accounting, and business systems and operations.
  3. Familiarity with employment laws and practices.
  4. Understanding of government contracting processes.
  5. Proficient in administration and/or supervision.
  6. Ability to serve as a role model and leader within the organization and its contracting/purchasing community.
  7. Capability to respond effectively to division emergencies.
  8. A qualifying criminal background check, driving record, and a valid driver's license are also prerequisites.
