REPORTS TO: Chief Executive Officer, Diocese of Fall River

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the guidance of the CEO of the Diocese of Fall River, the Annual Fund and Project Manager is tasked with implementing annual fundraising strategies. The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional organizational skills, self-motivation, attention to detail, creativity, strategic thinking, and professionalism while managing multiple projects within tight timelines. Proficient writing, analytical, and research capabilities are crucial. Candidates should demonstrate high computer literacy, including experience with online databases and resources for financial and philanthropic data, along with outstanding interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with staff, volunteers, Board members, clergy, donors, and vendors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the development and dissemination of all promotional and marketing materials, including the design, production, and distribution of print and digital content, as well as updates to the website related to annual fundraising initiatives.
  • Coordinate the organization of meetings, training sessions, and recognition events pertinent to annual fundraising efforts.
  • Collaborate closely with database and online giving service providers.
  • Maintain effective communication with donors, pastors, and key diocesan leaders.
  • Assist parishes in achieving their fundraising goals by creating tailored outreach, acknowledgment, and pledge collection strategies.
  • Implement various stewardship initiatives.
  • Act as the primary contact for all matters concerning donor and pastor relations regarding annual fundraising.
  • Generate reports for parishes and finance staff as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
  • One to five years of experience, preferably in a non-profit development environment.
  • An active, practicing Catholic with a demonstrated understanding of the Catholic Church's culture.
  • Experience with fundraising or CRM software is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational, time management, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively represent the Foundation to various audiences.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
  • Proficient technical skills in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with constituent resource management systems.
  • Experience in event planning is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently and collaboratively, and maintain a strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to assist with additional projects as needed and a desire to learn as new initiatives arise.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to travel as required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
