Job Title: Master Electrician

Bunge North America is seeking a skilled Master Electrician to join our team at the Destrehan, LA soybean processing facility.

Job Summary

The Master Electrician will be responsible for the electrical maintenance and instrumentation of the facility, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, troubleshooting, and repair, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Main Responsibilities
  • Read and understand ladder logic and troubleshoot Programmable Logix Control (PLC) systems
  • Calibrate and troubleshoot process instrumentation and use handheld communication devices
  • Perform plant-wide electrical troubleshooting and repair, including electrical circuits of 480VAC or less
  • Troubleshoot and repair variable frequency drive (VFD) and AC/DC systems
  • Perform general electrician skills, including running conduit and sizing and pulling wires
  • Inspect electrical components and equipment for conformity to industry standards and specifications
  • Maintain electrical switchgear and lay out and install conduit
  • Work knowledge of thermography and other electrical systems
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, preferred
  • Associate degree and/or technical certification, preferred
  • 5 years of industrial electrical experience, preferred
  • PLC experience, preferred
  • HVAC experience, preferred
