Master Electrician

Plant Master ElectricianPlant Electrician is responsible for the electrical maintenance of the Destrehan, LA grain export facility. Candidate must actively participate in Bunge s Employee Safety Policy and maintain a safe work environment for self and all employees.Additionally, this role is responsible for demonstrating a commitment to supply safe food, maintain a food safety culture within the site, continually improve the site s food safety management system and comply with customer and regulatory requirements.Main Accountabilities:Responsible for plant wide electrical troubleshooting and repair (electrical circuits of 4160VAC or less)Troubleshoot and repair variable frequency drive (VFD) and AC/DC systemsAbility to perform general electrician skills including but not limited to running conduit and sizing and pulling wiresAbility to follow, interpret, and read blueprints and schematicsInspect for conformity to industry standards or specificationsTroubleshoot and repair electrical components of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic industrial equipmentMaintain electrical switchgearAbility to lay out and install conduitWorking knowledge of thermographyKnowledge of and ability to follow NFPA70E GuidelinesOther duties as assignedKnowledge and Technical Competencies:PLC experience, preferredHVAC experience, preferredKnowledge of Studio 5000 programming software and Wonderware, preferredWritten/Verbal communication skillsAbility to work in a team environmentAbility to work in a highly quality controlled environmentAbility to work in a safety conscious environmentAbility to maintain a good working relationship with other facility personnelEducation/Experience:High school diploma or GED equivalent, preferredAssociates degree and/or technical certification, preferred3 years of industrial electrical experience, preferredTWIC card or ability to obtain TWIC card, requiredWork Schedule:Overtime required as part of the normal schedule, call out availability, and an on-call rotation and/or straight daysBunge (NYSE: BG) is a world leader in sourcing, processing and supplying oilseed and grain products and ingredients.
