Job Summary
We're seeking a Certified Residential Appraiser to join our team in Florida. As a key member of our appraisal team, you'll conduct unbiased and impartial valuations of residential real estate, analyzing market and property-specific data to complete appraisal reports in accordance with USPAP, government, company, regulatory board, and client-specific guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of residential real estate, documenting data collection and inspection with photographs, measurements, sketches, diagrams, and field notes.
  • Analyze market and property-specific data to determine property value, considering factors such as legal characteristics, highest and best use, market conditions, locational factors, site, view, design, quality, age, condition, size, physical attributes, and more.
  • Develop and maintain proficiency in sales comparison, cost, and income approaches to value.
  • Partner with Senior Appraisers/Appraisal Helpdesk to ensure quality at an assignment level and make individual process improvements to eliminate addendums and quality control rejections.
  • Participate in monthly Appraiser meetings and meet all department turn time expectations.

Requirements
  • Active Appraiser Certification as required by state's regulatory agency.
  • Zero disciplinary actions within the past +/-10 years.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to work within varying client-driven requirements and deadlines.
  • Exceptional analytical and narrative writing skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, draw sound conclusions, and summarize results for various audiences.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Preferred experience in REO appraisals and HUD/FHA experience.
