Job Overview

As a Software Developer II at Johnson & Johnson, you will play a key role in designing and developing software applications that meet the needs of our user departments. Under direct supervision, you will assist in preparing specifications and user requirements, and will be responsible for encoding, testing, debugging, and documenting programs for relatively straightforward or small projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively with peers and customers to ensure seamless collaboration
  • Design and develop basic to advanced computer programs using various technologies
  • Monitor the performance of programs after implementation and make necessary adjustments
  • Analyze problems, determine causes, and initiate corrective action with oversight from higher-level programmers
  • Stay current with technology through seminars, educational opportunities, and trade magazines
  • Maintain a working knowledge of currently used software and continue learning new applications
  • Demonstrate knowledge of and support Johnson & Johnson's mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies, and procedures

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Associates Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology and 3+ years related experience
  • 5 years web or desktop database application programming experience or equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
  • Working knowledge of Angular, ASP, HTML, JavaScript, Visual Studio.Net, WebAPI, JQuery, MVVM, SQL, and other technologies

Working Conditions:

Responsibilities will dictate workload and schedule. Occasional non-standard work schedule and overtime may be required to ensure deadlines are met.
