Department Overview:
The Sustainable Transportation Solutions team is dedicated to promoting the use of environmentally friendly vehicles across California. We oversee a variety of transportation electrification initiatives aimed at enhancing the adoption of clean vehicles throughout the state. This is an opportunity to contribute significantly to the shift towards sustainable transportation.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Program Manager to spearhead the creation and oversight of an innovative pilot initiative focused on exploring and implementing scalable charging solutions for residential users in areas with limited parking options. This position is crucial for our objective of integrating 3 million electric vehicles into the power grid by 2030.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee budget management, performance metrics reporting, and daily pilot operations
- Engage with stakeholders to identify effective solutions and address challenges
- Formulate strategies to align with team objectives and regulatory compliance
- Conduct site assessments and manage both external and internal reporting
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- A minimum of 6 years of applicable experience
- At least 3 years in a program management or consulting capacity
Preferred qualifications include expertise in market analysis, electric vehicle technologies, and stakeholder collaboration. Strong analytical and communication skills are vital for success in this position.
