804 Technology is seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team. As a Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC Machining Centers, Manual Mills, and Manual Lathes to produce precision parts in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities- Position and secure work pieces using various techniques and tools.
- Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machine.
- Select the appropriate tools and materials for each job, taking into account factors such as tool life, material properties, and production requirements.
- Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as CNC Mills, CNC Lathes, and Grinders, ensuring accuracy and precision.
- Set up, adjust, and operate all basic machine tools and specialized or advanced variation tools to perform precision machining operations.
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances using mathematical knowledge and instruments such as micrometers, depth micrometers, inside diameter gauges, and outside diameter gauges.
- Read and understand gauging sheets to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure parts are made according to specifications.
- Monitor machine and tooling performance to ensure optimal operation and identify potential issues.
- Operate hoist to load parts onto machining center, lathe, or mill.
- Efficiently take down jobs, including tooling, cleaning fixtures, and storing gauges.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong knowledge of machine tools, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, gauging sheets, and other technical documents.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to lift and move heavy equipment and materials.
