Job Summary

Silfex is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist 2 to join our team in producing high-quality precision silicon components. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for safely operating 5-axis CNC machines to produce complex parts that meet customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate 3 to 5-axis CNC machine tools to accurately machine parts per work instructions and manufacturing plans.
  • Perform quality inspections to ensure accurate production of parts throughout the process.
  • Handle parts and materials with care to ensure quality of product and condition of equipment.
  • Proactively support work of department and team by maintaining communication through Teams/Email and participating in shift change meetings.
  • Accurately record and interpret production information in PLEX.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year of CNC machining experience on 3 or 5-axis machines.
  • Basic shop math skills and Microsoft Office experience (specifically Excel).
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions.
  • Able to perform job functions independently with frequent support.

Working Conditions:

The employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the environment is moderate.

Shift: A Shift: 6am - 6pm
