Work Schedule:
Typical hours are structured as follows:
Schedule 1: 8 am – 5 pm ET
Schedule 2: 10 am – 7 pm ET

Training:
Training will be a combination of on-site and virtual sessions, lasting approximately 8-10 weeks.
Role Responsibilities:
The Insurance Coverage Support Specialist will:
- Provide assistance and information regarding insurance coverage for prescribed Novartis medications.
- Efficiently determine patient insurance coverage and requirements by utilizing reimbursement tools and collaborating with payers and healthcare providers.
- Communicate relevant information to Patient Specialty Services teams.
- Address coverage-related inquiries, facilitate pre-authorizations for medical treatments, and clarify co-payment details.
- Exhibit strong communication skills to effectively engage with payers and providers regarding benefits coverage.
- Continuously develop knowledge of PSS programs and payer coverage.
- Utilize protocols and technology to gather patient coverage information, including making prompt and courteous phone calls to payers.
- Prepare necessary documentation and notifications, ensuring proper escalation and follow-up.
- Propose innovative ideas to enhance customer service efficiency.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma required.
Work Environment:
Ability to work in a quiet, dedicated space at home without interruptions. Proximity to the office for occasional onsite meetings is required.
Experience:
Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience in reimbursement roles within healthcare, payers, or pharmaceuticals. Preferred experience includes:
- 1 year as a Reimbursement Specialist in a Customer Contact Center within the pharmaceutical sector.
Skills:
Strong phone and verbal communication skills, adept problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in data entry systems and technology.
