About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Patient Intake Coordinator RN to join our team at Loma Linda University Medical Center. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the intake process for patients referred to our facility. You will work closely with clinicians and hospital staff to facilitate hospital admissions according to department guidelines and criteria.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate patient intake, including scheduling appointments and gathering necessary information
  • Collaborate with clinicians and hospital staff to ensure smooth admission processes
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care transitions
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess a current and unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) license. Additionally, they should have a minimum of one year of experience in medical-surgery nursing, with a preference for those with experience in acute psychiatric or chemical dependency settings. Certification in Prevention and Management of Assaultive Behavior (PMAB) is also required within the first 30 days of employment.
