We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital. As a travel respiratory therapist, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities- Provide respiratory care to patients of all ages, including infants, children, and adults, in various settings such as the intensive care unit, emergency department, and operating room.
- Administer medications, perform diagnostic tests, and interpret results to ensure accurate patient assessment and treatment.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Operate and maintain respiratory equipment, including ventilators, oxygen therapy devices, and other life-support systems.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to respiratory care.
- Current licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in the state of practice.
- 2 years of experience as a respiratory therapist, with a strong background in pediatric and neonatal care.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
The shift schedule for this position is 2x8s and 2x12s per week, with opportunities for overtime. The hospital is open 24/7, and the respiratory therapist will be required to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends.
