We are seeking highly qualified Special Education Teachers to join our team at Mankato Area Public Schools. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a critical role in providing educational support to students with diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Provide instruction and support to students in a variety of settings, including resource rooms and general education classrooms
- Collaborate with general education teachers and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive learning environment
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet the needs of all learners
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure a collaborative approach to student support
- A valid Minnesota teaching license in Special Education (ABS, LD, E/BD, DCD, ASD) or eligibility for Tier 1 or Tier 2 license or Out-of-Field Permission
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs and abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced educational environment
- Competitive salary range: $49,591 - $88,577 (based on the MTA salary schedule)
