Key Responsibilities


The Assistant will support the classroom teacher in ensuring that at least 75% of students achieve grade-level proficiency in both mathematics and literacy.


The Assistant will facilitate growth in small or at-risk groups in mathematics and literacy, as evidenced by internal assessments.


The Assistant will demonstrate proficiency in classroom management and youth development, as indicated by metrics such as student referrals and suspensions.

Qualifications


Minimum of an associate's degree in early childhood education or a related field, with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.50.

Bachelor's degree is preferred.


Must obtain NYS Teaching Assistant certification within three months of employment.


Experience working with school-aged children in educational or developmental settings.


Experience in supporting English Language Learners to achieve significant growth.


Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is required.
