Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction for the aquatic facility's day-to-day operations
  • Supervise and train lifeguards to ensure they meet regulatory standards
  • Develop and manage the pool regulatory process to ensure compliance
  • Plan and implement aquatics programs, including swim instruction, wellness, water safety, and lifeguard training
  • Provide exceptional customer service to pool patrons
  • Develop a fee schedule for aquatics activities and manage the collection process
  • Maintain and increase revenue generation through pool rentals and memberships
  • Implement evidence-based practices in aquatic programming
  • Offer a range of swimming instruction programs, including lifeguard certification, aqua size, and beginner, intermediate, and advanced swim lessons for children and adults

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Water Safety Certification for teaching swimming lessons and lifeguard certification
  • CPO Certification
  • Current certification in First Aid and CPR
  • At least three years' experience supervising lifeguards and/or water safety instructors, in addition to verifiable experience in program management
