About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cake Decorator to join our team at Walmart. As a Cake Decorator, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing baked goods and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain the Bakery area, including work surfaces, windows, mirrors, display cases, coolers, and equipment.
  • Maintain merchandise presentation by stocking merchandise, setting up, cleaning, and organizing product displays, removing damaged goods, and signing and pricing merchandise appropriately.
  • Ensure consistent quality and accuracy in decorative designs by preparing Bakery Department merchandise based on daily production needs, operating Bakery equipment, following recipe measurement instructions, and utilizing specialized decorating skills to complete Company-approved designs.
  • Provide Member service by acknowledging the Member, identifying their needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, utilizing selling techniques to promote department sales, taking bakery orders in person or by phone, locating merchandise, managing production to ensure members' orders are delivered on time, keeping sales area and backroom in stock, and resolving issues and concerns.
  • Maintain safety of facility by following all safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps, following proper forklift spotting procedures, following company steel standard guidelines, and correcting/reporting unsafe situations to management.
  • Maintain the Sales Floor in the Bakery area in accordance with Company policies and procedures by properly handling claims and returns, zoning the area, arranging and organizing merchandise, and identifying shrink and damages.
Benefits

We offer a competitive hourly wage range of $17.00 to $24.00, with additional compensation in the form of premiums ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. We also offer a range of benefits, including:

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • 6 months' experience in a fresh production area
  • Be 18 years of age or older
