**Overview:**

Hope Haven, Inc. is seeking a Property Care Technician to provide general and detailed building and property maintenance services to our agency locations.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide training to Residents in the Maintenance Training Program
  • Train residents in appropriate areas of facility technician duties
  • Prepare rooms for move-in by residents
  • Setup and break down meeting areas as described in E-space event software
  • Maintain floors in a clean state by sweeping, vacuuming, scrubbing, and mopping
  • Assist staff to keep offices free of trash, mop, clean floors
  • Empty and clean trash receptacles and collect recycling
  • Clean, sanitize, and supply bathrooms
  • Clean and service custodial equipment as needed
  • Perform minor repairs on furniture, buildings, and equipment
  • Report any safety, sanitary, or fire hazards to supervisor
  • Lock and unlock windows, doors, and gates
  • Ensure grounds areas are clean and orderly

**Qualifications:**

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Previous custodial experience preferred
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Have a NC driver's license
  • Ability to use a smartphone and use a computer with Microsoft windows and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
  • Comfortable squatting, twisting, bending, and kneeling while using tools and performing assigned duties
  • Possess working knowledge of the methods, technique, and materials used in custodial work
  • Ability to climb ladders and work from heights
  • Familiar with operating, caring for, and storing custodial equipment and supplies
