Job Summary
The Michaels Organization seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the physical integrity of our communities, providing exceptional customer service, and working collaboratively with our maintenance team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify potential hazards and take corrective action as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including HVAC repairs, electrical work, and carpentry tasks.
- Collaborate with make-ready staff to meet deadlines and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Document all maintenance activities and keep accurate records of work completed.
- Report any concerns or issues to the Maintenance Manager and/or Supervisor in a timely manner.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Experience in maintenance, repair, or a related field is preferred, with a focus on HVAC, electrical, and carpentry skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to read and write legibly, with prior experience in using safety protocols and following instructions from supervisors.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and codes governing maintenance practices.

Working Conditions
