Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Development: Partner with the Store Manager to lead and develop a high-performing team of optical professionals, providing coaching, training, and feedback to ensure excellent customer service and sales results.
  • Business Operations: Support the Store Manager in developing and implementing business plans to maximize sales and profit, including visual merchandising, inventory management, and store appearance.
  • Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring that customers receive a personalized and professional experience, and that their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Sales and Revenue Growth: Drive sales growth through effective sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer relationships, meeting or exceeding sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Store Appearance and Visual Merchandising: Ensure that the store appears clean, organized, and visually appealing, with effective visual merchandising and display of products.
  • Administrative Duties: Perform administrative tasks, including data entry, reporting, and other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
Requirements
  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1+ year(s) of management/supervisory experience with direct reports, preferably in a retail or optical environment.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team, excellent customer service skills, and a strong understanding of retail operations and processes.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of retail operations, processes, and policies, as well as basic math skills and familiarity with cash registers, computers, and calculators.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: College degree or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a leadership position within retail and customer service industry.
  • Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions, and a strong understanding of optics and current store merchandise.
