About the Role
MRG Exams, a leader in independent medical examinations, seeks a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Provider to conduct medical assessments on US Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
This is an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in physical medicine and rehabilitation to support our nation's heroes. As a Medical Examiner, you will be responsible for reviewing medical health records through a secure web portal and performing comprehensive assessments on each veteran.
You will also complete Disability Benefit Questionnaires (DBQs) through the web portal, documenting exam findings needed by the VA. Please note that this role does not involve making disability determinations, which are made by the VA.
This position is PRN and requires a minimum of 50% time spent reviewing medical records and electronically documenting exam findings. You must be proficient at finding key data points within large electronic medical records and able to analyze data to complete DBQs and form medical opinions.
Requirements
- A current license as a Physiatrist is required.
- You must be Board Certified in either Neurological Surgery, PM&R, or Psychiatry and Neurology.
- Meets the credentialing requirements set forth by the VA.

Salary Range
The estimated salary range for this position is $175,000 - $225,000 per year, depending on experience.
