We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer Assistant to join our team at T2 Utility Engineers in Huntington Beach, California. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in assisting our team members to develop innovative solutions for our clients and their projects.

As a Civil Engineer Assistant, you will work closely with our clients and design teams to coordinate the completion of projects while ensuring quality standards, maintaining project schedules, and staying within project budgets. You will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating field crews and work to meet project scope requirements.

Our team at T2 Utility Engineers specializes in providing reliable underground and above-ground utility information to reduce the risks that utilities present for infrastructure projects. We help clients manage the complexity of existing utilities with our professional and comprehensive Subsurface Utility Engineering, Utility Coordination, and Surveying services.

Responsibilities of the Civil Engineer Assistant include:

  • Coordinating field crews and work to meet project scope requirements
  • Building and maintaining relationships with potential and existing clients to foster a long-term business relationship
  • Preparing project permits, specifications, and other miscellaneous submittals
  • Preparing proposals and supporting office and/or regional marketing efforts
  • Serving as a representative of T2ue at project meetings
  • Managing project deliverables and project-related correspondence to ensure on-time delivery
  • Ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and financial performance of assigned projects
  • Maintaining quality assurance and safety on all projects
  • Assisting Senior Project Managers with miscellaneous work

Basic Qualifications:

  • EIT required, with PE preferred or able to obtain in under 1 year
  • Minimum of two years of Civil and/or Subsurface Utility Engineering experience
  • Minimum of two years of AutoCAD Civil 3D experience
  • Proven track record of sales success and client relationship development in Southern California
  • Ability to effectively network to obtain strategic growth for new business and key clients
  • Presentation skills preferred
  • Comprehensive understanding of how planning, decision making, and problem solving lead to project success
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Solid time management with the ability to manage many tasks at once
  • Self-motivated
  • Basic computer skills
