Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Coordinator to join our team at Nationwide Children's Hospital. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the activities of a particular shift and direct, organize, and assign work to employees.
  • Ensure adequate supplies, equipment, and utilization of staff.
  • Serve as an expert EPIC Super User and assess, monitor, and support employees throughout the shift.
  • Facilitate direct patient care through coaching, delegation, and service recovery.
  • Engage in the workplace community by staying aware of changes, participating in data collection or auditing, understanding Quality Improvement, and representing staff at relevant meetings and then reporting important information and updates back to staff.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and institute emergency responses as appropriate.
  • Maintain quality and safety as a priority and specify the critical resources required to accomplish the team's objectives.
  • Make appropriate staffing decisions with understanding and consideration of workload targets and budget impact.
Requirements
  • Education: BSN, preferred.
  • Licensure: Current Ohio Nursing License, required.
  • Experience: 2 years nursing experience, preferred.
