Job Title: Field Service Technician

At GED Integrated Solutions, we are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services to our customers across the US and Canada.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and commission new units and/or complex production lines at customer locations.
  • Perform technical after-sales services, including inspections, troubleshooting, and training.
  • Maintain paperwork requirements, such as timesheets, work orders, and service reports.
  • Maintain customer relations and understand company service and equipment offerings.
  • Manage expenses and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Technology, or 5+ years equivalent experience.
  • Specialized knowledge in mechanical, engineering, and technology.
  • Skills in operation monitoring, equipment maintenance, quality control analysis, complex problem-solving, and judgment and decision-making.
  • Abilities in problem sensitivity, visualization, oral comprehension, oral expression, deductive reasoning, and inductive reasoning.
  • Desired characteristics include attention to detail, analytical thinking, dependability, integrity, adaptability, initiative, and independence.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in controls, mechanics, and pneumatics desired.
  • Experience with robotics preferred.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
  • Up to 90% travel throughout US and Canada.
  • Valid Drivers' License required.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time - up to 8 hours.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, twist, reach, and crouch as needed.
  • Ability to push/pull and manipulate equipment as needed.
