Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Traveling Service Technician to join our team at PPS-HPS. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support to our customers across the US and Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer installation, maintenance, and service calls in a timely and effective manner.
  • Install and commission new automation and complex production lines at customer locations, including setup of mechanical workings and controls.
  • Perform technical after-sales services, including inspections, troubleshooting, and training.
  • Recognize and recommend preventative and/or corrective maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Install upgrades and carry out revisions as needed.
  • Maintain accurate paperwork requirements, including timesheets, work orders, and service reports.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, understanding company service and equipment offerings, and making recommendations to promote revenue growth.
  • Manage expenses and ensure efficient use of resources.

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Technology, or 5+ years equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid Driver's License and ability to obtain a passport required.

Working Conditions:

  • Up to 90% travel throughout the US and Canada.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
