The Wound Care Nurse is responsible for evaluating and recommending wound care treatment for inpatient and outpatient patients. This includes critically ill patients, in accordance with accepted protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and recommend wound care treatment for patients
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality care
  • Develop and implement effective wound care plans
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Provide education and support to patients and families
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements:
  • NYS RN License required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
  • Critical Care Nursing experience (preferred)
  • Wound Care experience (preferred)
  • BLS Certification; ACLS certification strongly recommended
