Position Overview: We are seeking a mid-career Reliability Engineer based in Grand Prairie, TX, who will play a crucial role in developing, coordinating, and executing technical reliability assessments, studies, and evaluations of production hardware to ensure compliance with design specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Criticality Analysis (FMECA).
  • Formulate reliability program enhancement strategies and execute reliability growth assessments. Participate in design reviews and testing activities as necessary.
  • Create reliability block diagrams, predictions, and analyses to fulfill program contract obligations.
  • Engage in Corrective Action Boards (CAB) and Failure Review Boards (FRB).
  • Identify trends in the Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) to prioritize failure modes for corrective action investigations aimed at preventing future failures.
  • Review Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) and support Concept Screening Board (CSB) and Configuration Control Board (CCB).
  • Prepare for and contribute to Reliability Scoring Conferences and Failure Review Board meetings.
  • Recommend design or testing methodologies and statistical process control techniques to achieve required product reliability levels.
  • Compile and evaluate performance reports and process control statistics.
  • Ensure that corrective action initiatives meet established reliability standards.
  • The candidate will primarily work in a collaborative environment, providing insights to engineers, conducting analyses, and drafting reports. Some travel may be required.
Basic Qualifications:

  • Must possess or be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Proven experience in Reliability Engineering, including performing reliability predictions and analyses.
  • Familiarity with reliability FRACAS and statistical data analysis.
  • Experience with the FMECA methodology.
  • Ability to oversee subcontractors in the field of Reliability.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities and capacity to foster effective working relationships.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with experience in technical writing and delivering presentations to large audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution with 9 years of relevant professional experience; or 7 years of experience with a related master’s degree. This role is considered career or journey level.
Desired Skills:

  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Experience with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM).
  • Strong electrical engineering background complemented by a solid understanding of mechanical principles.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware testing and troubleshooting.
  • Analytical mindset with a proven ability to resolve complex issues requiring creativity and innovation.
  • Knowledge of safety engineering principles.
Security Clearance Statement: This position necessitates a government security clearance; candidates must be U.S. Citizens for consideration.

Work Arrangement: This role offers a part-time remote work option.

Remote Work Details:

The selected candidate will have a hybrid work schedule, dividing their time between remote work and a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin provides various alternative work schedules that offer additional flexibility to employees. Options range from a standard 40-hour work week to condensed schedules that provide extra time away from the office, in addition to Paid Time Off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour days with 3 days off per week.
