Pape Trucks Inc is seeking a skilled Journeyman Truck Technician to join our team in San Leandro, CA. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing complex repairs and maintenance on medium and heavy-duty class 7 & 8 trucks.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair complex issues with medium and heavy-duty trucks, including electronic systems, HVAC, and chassis repair.
- Work independently with minimal supervision to complete repairs efficiently and effectively.
- Collaborate with other technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Meet productivity and quality standards, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- 5+ years of experience working on medium and heavy-duty trucks, including electronic troubleshooting and HVAC systems.
- Basic computer knowledge and proficiency with diagnostic tools.
- Self-motivation, assertiveness, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
- Class B CDL or ability to obtain one.
- Must provide own tools.
