We are in search of a Senior Bridge Engineer/Technical Bridge Lead to enhance our engineering capabilities. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in the analysis, design, and preparation of comprehensive plans for both steel and concrete bridges, along with anchored retaining walls. A strong foundation in hydrologic and hydraulic studies pertinent to bridge design is essential, coupled with a thorough understanding of highway and geotechnical engineering principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee bridge-related tasks while fostering relationships with regulatory bodies
  • Lead the bridge design team for assigned projects, ensuring effective collaboration
  • Manage structural responsibilities including scope definition, budget oversight, and quality control
  • Coordinate project activities to achieve objectives within established timelines and financial parameters
  • Engage in design discussions and meetings with project personnel, subconsultants, and clients
  • Contribute to proposal development and deliver presentations
  • Mentor junior engineers and actively participate in professional organizations

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master's degree preferred
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory
  • At least 15 years of experience in bridge analysis and design
  • Proven leadership and communication capabilities
  • A minimum of 5 years managing bridge and structural design teams
  • Familiarity with Department of Transportation (DOT) or PennDOT design guidelines
  • Expertise in AASHTO LRFD and LFD Bridge Design Specifications
  • Proficient in Microstation and/or AutoCAD software
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel and Word applications
  • Ability to compose project proposals and letters of interest
