Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled APRN or PA to join our team at Messino Cancer Centers in Asheville, NC. As a key member of our oncology team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support our physicians in delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' physical and psychosocial status through interview, health history, physical examination, and diagnostic studies.
  • Determine eligibility for clinical trials based on patient findings.
  • Interpret and evaluate study/test results, and relay relevant information to collaborating physicians.
  • Administer therapeutic measures and obtain specimens as prescribed.
  • Dictate follow-up letters to referring physicians with treatment summaries and plans.
  • Document patient care in a timely and accurate manner using appropriate forms and records.
  • Provide on-call coverage and perform hospital rounds as needed.
  • Triage patients to determine urgency of physician evaluation.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant program.
  • Master's degree required.
  • APRN or PA license in the appropriate state, with prescriptive privileges or eligibility to apply.
  • Current certification from ANCC or ONS (AOCN-P).
  • Current BLS.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as APRN or PA, specifically in Oncology.
