Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Compliance Engineer to join our team at Shure. As a key member of our global compliance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the necessary regulatory requirements in the Latin American market, with a focus on Mexico and Brazil.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to internal teams at Shure to ensure compliance with global regulatory requirements and related processes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal teams (logistics, finance, quality, etc.) to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Assist in inspection and audit activities by international certification bodies, supporting the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Coordinate and supervise work processes with local agents and laboratories for all activities prior to certification with international certification bodies.
  • Responsible for requesting, tracking, receiving, and testing product samples before sending them to laboratories for certification testing to obtain certification in Mexico.
  • Collaborate with global compliance teams to coordinate the shipment of samples, materials, and documentation required for local certifications, as well as providing technical information on local standards and regulations.
  • Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving knowledge of applicable standards and certification requirements for new and modified product designs, with a focus on spectrum regulations and changes.
  • Work closely with local agents and regional certification bodies to determine which standards and certifications apply to each product in the region for all new and existing products.
  • Assist in the coordination and preparation of compliance reports for regulatory organizations, documentation of meetings, and maintenance of updated databases of all new certifications and renewals.
  • Perform other assigned tasks.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent field with relevant work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering, production processes, quality control, and international standards (ISO, IEC, etc.).
  • Familiar knowledge of certification processes in Mexico and other LATAM countries (NOM, ANATEL, IFT, etc.).
  • Familiar knowledge of laboratory testing of electronic devices, as well as wireless technologies.
  • Strong attention to detail, strong ability to evaluate, appreciate, and prioritize risks.
  • Analytical, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Competency in computer operation skills in MS Office/Excel.
  • Frequent travel, both nationally and internationally.
  • Fluency in English, spoken and written, to effectively communicate with international teams and suppliers.
