Position Overview

We are currently seeking a BSA/AML Compliance Specialist to join our client’s team. This role is pivotal in establishing and overseeing robust Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance frameworks, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the BSA compliance initiatives within the organization.
  • Enhance and develop the Compliance Office with a focus on BSA, Security, and Internal Audit protocols, including audits of loan files and cash management.
  • Conduct BSA/AML audits and manage follow-up actions.
  • Act as an internal auditor, evaluating operational risks at various levels.
  • Provide comprehensive documentation for exception reporting.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of money laundering and terrorist financing issues, including regulatory changes and industry best practices.
  • Design and deliver training programs on BSA/AML/OFAC compliance for staff.
  • Identify compliance weaknesses and propose effective solutions.
  • Offer compliance guidance to all departments within the organization.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in regulatory compliance.
  • BSA/AML certifications are advantageous.
  • Familiarity with core banking systems and reporting tools is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Federal and State Anti-Money Laundering regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Able to engage effectively with individuals at all organizational levels and with regulatory bodies.
