Position Overview

The Cath Lab Technologist plays a crucial role in the cardiovascular department, working within the cardio-endovascular catheterization laboratory. This position involves a variety of specialized tasks, including:

  • Monitoring and scrubbing during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Collaborating with physicians, radiologic technologists, cardiovascular technologists, and nursing staff to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Maintaining a customer-friendly atmosphere in the laboratory.
Certification Requirements

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess:

  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • BLS - Basic Life Support
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
  • ARRT and OMBI licensure prior to commencement
  • Completion of mandatory facility compliance training
  • Successful passing of the Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam
  • Competency Exam
Work Schedule

This position operates on a 4x10 schedule, from Monday to Thursday, with day call shifts on Fridays only. There are no night or weekend shifts, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Additional Information

It is essential for candidates to meet the following:

  • Possession of AHA Provider certification
  • AHA HEARTCODE Certifications are accepted
  • Certificates of Completion are valid for AHA certifications pending e-cards
  • Note: RQI certification is not acceptable; candidates must obtain AHA certification
