Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at Staff Financial Group. This remote position requires the candidate to reside in either Atlanta, GA or Houston, TX.

Responsibilities:

  • Critical Analysis: Prepare cost accounting financial statements with a focus on product line analysis, offering additional metrics for comprehensive data analysis.
  • Financial Planning: Assist in the annual budgeting process and periodic reforecasts to support effective financial planning.
  • Data Integrity: Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records, ensuring data integrity and reliability.
  • Operational Insights: Provide analysis and insights into company operations to drive profitability and better results.
  • Closing Process: Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Reporting Requirements: Prepare ad-hoc reports and fulfill other reporting requirements as directed by management.
  • Reconciliation: Reconcile general ledger data with various sub-ledgers and system data to ensure data consistency and accuracy.
  • Journal Entries: Perform month-end closing activities, including the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Efficiency Enhancements: Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency within the financial reporting process and incorporate best practices.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality to protect the organization's value and sensitive information.
  • Variance Analysis: Prepare monthly and ad-hoc variance analyses to identify and address deviations from expected outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • Experience: 5+ years of previous experience in Accounting or Finance, with a strong background in reconciling accounts, performing financial analysis, and preparing financial statements.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced MS Excel skills and intermediate proficiency with MS Word and MS Access (or similar database query tools).

The estimated salary for this position is up to $115,000 per annum, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
