The Louisiana State University is seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor of English to join our faculty team. This is a part-time, non-tenure track position that requires teaching, course development, and student advising.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and teach English courses, including syllabus creation and course materials preparation.
- Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators to ensure a positive learning environment.
- Assess student learning outcomes and provide feedback to students.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the department chair or dean.
- Masters in English or a related field from a regionally accredited institution.
- OR Master's degree in an unrelated field plus 18 credit hours in English from a regionally accredited institution.
- Ph.D. in English or a related field from a regionally accredited institution (preferred).
- 2 years of teaching experience, both in-person and online (preferred).
- Ability to teach effectively and incorporate a variety of teaching strategies to maximize learning.
- Ability to work with diverse populations and communicate effectively (verbal and written).
- Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with students, faculty, and staff.
